The purchasing service is involved in following tasks:

•	Purchase of electronic components,
•	Acquisition of all parts related to electronics (PCB, connectors, cables, bobbins, electromechanics, metal and plastic parts,
•	Administration of local and national sub-contractors placing (Thurmelec is in regular contact with partners from POLAND, SLOVAKIA, HUNGARY, INDIA and CHINA).

Further features are:

•	Administration of high quantities of items (over 20 000),
•	Administration of components with announcement of discontinuation,
•	Component selection considering costs (unification and sourcing) as well as the product's life time,
•	Partnership with manufacturers and distributors who ensure short delivery periods, optimisation of marketplace and technological survey and efficient retrieval of equivalent components in case of discontinuation.
